Pregnancy Testing

The process of medically diagnosing pregnancy begins with completing a lab-quality pregnancy test in our clinic, provided at no charge to patients.
What to expect
After checking in for your appointment, a client advocate will take you to a coaching room to discuss pregnancy options and how the pregnancy testing process works. You will submit a urine sample for testing, and you will know the test results within a few minutes while discussing the results with one of our nurses.
Takeaways

If you have a positive pregnancy test result, the second step in medically diagnosing a pregnancy is to complete an ultrasound exam.

Pregnancy Options Education

The compassionate staff at Coast Pregnancy Clinic educates patients about all pregnancy options: adoption, parenting, and abortion. We do not profit from our patients’ pregnancy decisions and believe that all patients deserve to understand each of the options available to them.
What to expect

Schedule an appointment to speak with one of our patient advocates who will share information about each pregnancy option, including abortion methods. We walk patients through a decision-making tool and help the patient identify values and meaningful factors contributing to their decision.

Takeaways

Patients can feel safe discussing their pregnancy options in a judgment-free environment.

Ultrasound Exams

Coast Pregnancy Clinic provides no cost limited obstetrical ultrasound exams for the purpose of diagnosing pregnancy.

What to expect
During an ultrasound appointment, a certified sonographer will perform the exam using an ultrasound machine. Gel will be placed on the patient’s abdomen, and the ultrasound wand will be moved across that area to obtain images that our Medical Director will review to diagnose a pregnancy. This exam takes about 30-45 minutes.
Takeaways

Patients with a pregnancy diagnosis will receive an ultrasound image to take home. Our limited obstetrical ultrasound exams cannot be performed to confirm gender.
