Thinking About Parenting?

If parenting is something you are considering, you probably have a lot running through your mind right now.

Parenting is one of the most significant decisions a person can make, and taking time to think through your specific circumstances before deciding is exactly the right instinct.

Coast Pregnancy Clinic offers no-cost, confidential appointments where you can discuss your situation with an advocate who will listen without pushing you in any direction.

The Questions People Actually Ask

Every person who walks in thinking about parenting carries a different set of concerns. Here are some of the questions we hear most often:

What if I cannot afford it?

It’s normal to be worried about the cost of raising a child. Our team can connect you with financial assistance programs, community resources, and support to help you start building a plan.

What if I do not have support from my partner or family?

Not everyone has a ready-made support system, and that is more common than you might think. We can help you identify people and programs in your community who can fill some of those gaps.

What if I am still in school?

Parenting and pursuing an education are not mutually exclusive. There are programs and protections specifically designed to help parenting students stay on track. We can point you toward those resources.

What if I am not ready?

Readiness looks different for everyone, and very few people feel completely prepared when they find out they are pregnant. What matters more than feeling ready is having information, support, and a plan. That is exactly what we are here to help you build.

What about the father of the baby?

Whether he is fully involved, uncertain, or not in the picture, we can talk through what that means for your situation. We also offer our Fatherhood Program for men who want support as they step into their role.

Resources & Support

Choosing to parent does not mean navigating everything on your own. Our team can connect you with local community programs and organizations that help with food, housing, medical care, and childcare. We have established relationships with a range of community partners and can help you figure out which resources are the right fit for your circumstances.

We also offer a variety of other resources, including parenting education, material assistance, and more.
